Today was somber. Our neighbor passed away and the funeral was today. The one thing that was unusual during the wake was he was holding an
oreo cookie and a can of Dr. Pepper. At the luncheon that followed they had an
oreo toast in his honor. He was 86 years old and a good neighbor.
Well...I think the point of a wake is to see if they can get the deceased to wake up...and they probably figured that's what he'd want as soon as he woke up.
