Missions

Today I had the privilege of going to a missions training day in Stow, Ohio
One of the sessions was a speaker and artist, Jim Hicks from Grace C&MA Church in Middleburg Heights, Ohio.  The portrait was done all in chalk in a matter of 20 minutes while background music was playing.  Jim then tells the story of the 3 trees and then presents the portrait to whoevers birthday is closet to the current date.  The message here was," Did you know visual arts, dance and music are tools for missions"?  There are so many ways of presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ across the globe.

Short Note

Just a note to say I'll be writing soon on this blog. I started a new email adventure of sending daily updates to my family along with Treasures of Wisdom: The Treasures of Wisdom is Talking with God compiled from the writings of Andrew Murray. Prayer is always good no matter where or who you are. God Listens.

Sunday School Cuties

These are my Sunday School Cuties.  There is Maggie, Mandy and Emma.  This is why I teach.  These children come in the classroom eager to learn and take part in a Bible Story.  They love their bibles even if they can't read.  After they hear the Bible Story they pretend to read it from their bibles.  It's amazing how much they remember.  We have a small snack and the children love to pray for the food.  Today we had some extra prayer request to pray for.  One little girl's puppy died and one little girl said she had (Amonia).
We play a cd with some favorite Sunday School Songs which they love to do the actions to.
They have work papers related to the story and a hand project to put together.  The hour goes very fast and before you know it the bell is ringing and class is over.  We finish with sitting on the floor in a circle, holding hands and praying.
Yes, this is why I teach.

NO SCHOOL TODAY

It's a fun day today in Garrettsville.
The pictures show how much snow fell in the last day or two.
What the picture doesn't show is Grandpa turning the snowblower on ME. :))

FUNNY FACES

I love my grandchildren:  I just saw on facebook a picture of my granddaughter Erica and me together with our unhappy faces.  It is hilarious.  I think this might have taught Grandma a lesson with posting some pictures.
