SEPARATE

Friday, March 18, 2011

Grandpa took our Amish neighbor this morning to town and when he returned Grandpa told me we were invited to an Amish dinner and benefit auction.  The dinner and auction were being held at the Nelson Community Center.  The dinner started at 5 o'clock and was pizza from dominos and there was salad, pies, ice cream and drinks.  The cost was a donation based on the donors discretion.  There was a silent auction which consisted of many filled baskets and merchandise items.  A person would buy tickets and put  as many as they wanted in the attached bags that were on the items.  Grandma bought $20.00 dollars worth of tickets but didn't win anything which was fine since it was a benefit to the Amish Schools.  There also was a regular action consisting of many items homemade and donated items.  We didn't bid on anything but it was fun watching everyone else.   We never know what our day will bring and today was one of them.

WHO I AM IN CHRIST
WHO I CAN BE IN CHRIST
(I Am Secure)

I cannot be SEPARATED from the love of God.

Romans 8:35-39-----Who shall SEPARATE us from the love of Christ?  Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?  As it is written:
    For your sake we face death all day long;
    we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.  For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Love, grandma
